New Years Cup
During the winter season, relatively few lacrosse tournaments are held across Europe. However, the New Year's Cup, organized annually by our club, is undoubtedly one of the best.
The New Year's Cup takes place every year in Budapest and is currently the only lacrosse tournament in Hungary, traditionally held during the first weeks of January.
The event features separate men's and women's tournaments. The matches are typically scheduled over a full weekend, allowing participating teams and players to fully enjoy both the competition and the social activities surrounding the event.
In addition to the matches on the field, the event also offers the following:

Catering, with regularly available hot dogs, toasted sandwiches, tea, and beer, as well as other refreshments

Annual merchandise collection, including sweatshirts, t-shirts, socks, hats, and reusable cups

Players' party, providing teams with a chance to relax and socialize after the games
The New Year's Cup is not just a tournament; it is a community event that brings together the domestic and international lacrosse community and serves as a great way to kick off the new season.
